Labor Day (US & Canada)

Monday September 4

The very first U.S. Labor Day parade took place in 1882 to call attention to the contributions of workers. Now we carry on this tradition of celebrating our hard work with a holiday on the first Monday of September.

Gender Equality Week is the result of the passing of Bill C-309, the Gender Equality Week Act, which received Royal Assent on June 21, 2018.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Canada)
